The city of Ulcinj is located in the southernmost part of Montenegro. Kolhinium, Olcinium, Dulchigno, «pirate nest», «slave trade center» - the city had many names for more than two thousand years of history, and each era left its centuries-old mark in its development.
The foundation of the city belongs to the V century BC. In the historic part - the Old Town, preserved buildings and structures that were built in the ancient Greek period, during the reign of the Roman Empire, Byzantium, ancient Serbia, and Turkey. Guests of the Old Town, located on the coastal cliffs, remember the walls of up to twenty meters wide. The development of the New City of Ulcinj began with a plateau at the foot of the hills, and then gradually it grew into the ledges of its houses, cascading down to the sea.
